"Teaching carries with it a responsibility to not only educate but to guide our students within their curriculum and without. Education should connect with the realities of the non-academic world so as to enrich the lives of our students. I believe students are not a commodity or a product but are a valuable asset in their own education. I want to give the students a sense of responsibility and pride in their education. My role as an educator is to facilitate this attitude and promote the development of skills the students will need in their academics. "
