ABOUT YOONA

 

Education:

University of Texas at Austin (B.S.A Biology with minor in Business)

UT Southwestern Medical School (in progress)

 

Teaching Experience:

Yoona has been a teaching assistant for Biology, Genetics, and Biostatistics at the University of Texas at Austin. She taught several class sections while also tutoring individuals that needed extra help. She worked as a facilitator for several peer-led study groups for Biochemistry. On the side, she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher weekly over her time in college.

 

Educational Philosophy:

“I believe that learning is a collaborative process. Every student has the potential to not only learn but to teach. There is always room for gaining new knowledge. The most enjoyable aspect of teaching is that moment where everything clicks. I aim to reach that moment for every student by encouraging communication and questions. I strive to help students reach their full potential.”

 

Interesting Fact:

Her biggest stress reliever and favorite activity is running outdoors. She enjoys pretty much any sport or active activity.
